Buxton Soroptimists



Sue Barber, a member of Buxton Soroptimists since 1987 is the newly elected Chair of Tideswell Environmental Group. She said, "Lyn Crowe will be a hard act to follow, but I will endevour to do my best".

Sue has long campaigned on environmental issues, first as a Councillor of 40 years standing, and as an individual.

Buxton Soroptimists hosted the Midland East Region meeting, with a variety of speakers. Delegates wore red, white and blue in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. President Jo Holdway is the Region President, and a member of Buxton Soroptimists.

In July Buxton Soroptimists welcome visitors to the Garden Trail, and hold a Water Aid fund raiser at Tideswell's H&D Bistro.

In September an ‘Away Day’ for the region will take place in Buxton.
