Come and join ‘Peter Rabbit’ for a carriage ride around the lovely Whitworth Park in Darley Dale, courtesy of Red House Stables, on Saturday 23 March from 11am to 1pm. Tickets are £5.00 per person which also includes entry into the Bunny Hunt; you can also buy a ticket for the raffle with the prize of a large chocolate bunny! The Bunny Hunt takes children on a fun walk around the park, looking out for laminated pictures of bunnies which have been attached to anything which isn’t moving!

Darley Dale in Bloom is a community group which works with Darley Dale Town Council, the Whitworth Trust and has links with other community groups and businesses in the area. This year we will not be taking part in the East Midlands in Bloom competition. Instead we will work towards consolidating these partnerships, strengthen and hopefully add to our team of volunteers, and continue planting more sustainably, with more perennial plants chosen to attract pollinators, butterflies and birds. We hope you are enjoying the colourful planting throughout the Town, and the hundreds of bulbs planted by our volunteers, which will provide much needed nectar for the pollinating insects and bees as they emerge in Spring.
