OPERATION ASHBOURNE 40s Weekend Codename "Coronation"

6th & 7th May, 10am-6pm

HM Armed Forces and Veterans Caravan Group

The group was set up about 5 years ago to provide respite breaks for Armed Forces Veterans, serving members and their families that suffer with PTSD. But with the COVID pandemic and recent issues in the world the scheme has now been opened to all veterans and their families.

We currently have caravans in Devon and Ashbourne.

We are completely non-profit making and all money we take goes towards improving the facilities we already have.

Last Year we organised Operation Ashbourne at former RAF Ashbourne, a 1940s weekend event attended by over 1000 people to witness the sights and sounds of wartime england.

Well we're back in May over the Coronation Weekend, with a confirmed spitfire flypast on both days, music from 40s entertainers, over 35 living history groups displaying what they would have done and looked like in WW2 with military vehicles, period cars and vintage traders.

At 1400 on the 6th May we have a reenactors coronation street party and in the evening we have a coronation dance in the former officers mess.

At Peak Gateway Leisure Club, Osmaston DE6 1NA. Car park £5, tickets £4, children over 10 £2, children under 10 free.
