Baslow Health Centre participated in a 7 and 14 mile walk around the Peak District on 20th May 2023. They were fundraising for the Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal – Leeds Hospital Charity and Dr Becky Goodchap organized this all saying, “Since Dr Louise Jordan retired early last year due to a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease, we have all missed her at Baslow Surgery, as have her patients. We wanted to do something to show her our love and support and decided to do a sponsored walk for a charity close to her heart. Louise and her partner Rob have been part of the 7 stories campaign to raise awareness of the Rob Burrow appeal to build a centre for MND in Leeds. We would be very grateful if you could sponsor us, thank you.”
Between the Just Giving page (on the surgery website) and all the cash donations so far, the team have raised in excess of £3,000. Donations are still very welcome and appreciated.
