The Hall remained unoccupied by the family until the 1920s when the 9th Duke of Rutland returned to restore it. Haddon had been described as the best preserved mediaeval Manor House in England. Visitors to Haddon Hall were treated to an unexpected touch of Christmas magic recently when the South Notts Men’s Chorus were joined by a most unlikely and enthusiastic guest.
