Meet the Team
Mike is Managing Director and has been part of the Peak Advertiser since its inception in July 1982. Mike and his wife, Laurie, are the majority shareholders and Laurie is the Company Secretary. After building the success which The Peak Advertiser enjoys today, they now play a hands-on supervisory role, but leave the everyday running of the paper to their impressive office team.
In our reorganisation, two long serving members of staff have been appointed to manage the day to day running of the Peak Advertiser. Mags will take on the responsibility of Production and General Manager and Sally, Administration and Sales Manager.
Mags joined us in 2003, bringing with her lots of experience in graphic design and typesetting skills. She has, over the years at the Peak Advertiser, been a valuable member of the team increasing her responsibilities in production and general management. Mags successfully relaunched the business after the lockdowns and she has continued to grow into her full potential. She is now ready and happy to take the management role and we congratulate her on her achievements.
Sally joined us in 2007, bringing with her a wealth of experience in customer service, new business sales and credit control. She has already shown her abilities in all these areas of the Peak Advertiser office. She will now take over as Sales and Administration Manager. In this role she will be responsible for the smooth running of the office administratively as well as being actively involved in sales and providing good customer service. This side of the business will be in good, capable hands. Congratulations Sally.
Rob joined the team in 2002, bringing with him a range of experience including a knowledge of systems and technology. He designs advertisements following customer instructions and typesets them, along with other items for input to the paper. Rob also deals with our ever-growing subscriptions list, sending copies to all parts of the UK and abroad.
Mark joined the Peak Advertiser in February 2008. He has spent his career in advertising, gaining a wealth of experience in dealing with customers on a one-to-one basis, ensuring customer satisfaction with their advertising.
Matt joined us in February 2011. He started out doing a National Diploma in graphic design, which is what he really enjoys doing. Matt has a lot of experience in digital printing, typesetting and design; he deals with the Coming Events in the paper, and was responsible for creating and updating the website you are currently viewing!
Martin joined us in February 2012. Martin brings with him over 20 years' experience in pre-press, where he created artwork for all types of general advertising. He also has a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills and will be a great asset to our team.
