WINSTER COUNTRY SHOW – A TRADITION WORTH CELEBRATING THURSDAY 2ND JULY
Go to the marquee on the playing fields and see all the entries to the competitions before enjoying time in the tea area. There is no charge to go in and look around nor to enter any of the competition classes but payments for teas are cash only. They are open between 8am and 11.45am to receive your entries and then close temporarily for judging until 2pm when they reopen for public viewing and afternoon tea until 5pm. Winster Guisers would like to thank their friends, old and new, who supported them over the recent Christmas performances. £1,100 was raised by your generous contributions for charity, local and national. WINSTER PANCAKE RACES
Winster Traditional Pancake Race Tuesday 17 February at 2,15 in Winster Main Street DE4 2DJ Visitors, including children, who wish to take part should bring a small pan and pancake. Everyone welcome. Prizes for the children.


Winster Christmas Tree Lighting with Carnival Queen Kate Connor
Winster’s festive season began in true village style on Sunday 7th December, as residents gathered outside the historic Market House for the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This year’s event was made especially memorable by the presence of Carnival Queen, Kate Conner who helped unveil the sparkling display and bring a sense of seasonal magic to the village. Before the switch-on, Kate visited the Winster Village Shop to assist with the unveiling of its newly dressed
