No Dogs allowed on the Playing Field. Ye Olde Bowling Green: Hog Roast The Shoulder of Mutton: Kids bouncy castle from 12.30 until 6pm. (Free) plus disco from 8pm Bradwell Methodist Church - Gala Teas 10am - 12noon - Tea/Coffee and cake 12noon - 2pm - Sandwiches, Toasties, tea/coffee cake 2pm - 4pm - Tea/Coffee and Cake. Saturday 7th August Ye Olde Bowling Green: Hoedown event with a bucking bronco from 4pm and live music from a country and music band from 7pm who are also bringing a line dancing instructor. We will also have a barbecue on this day. 10am- 5pm Open Gardens Come and have a stroll around some of our wonderful village gardens, tickets and maps available on the day at Town Bottom Playing Field. Also, in advance from The Bakehouse or The Post Office.
Sunday 8th August 8.45pm Torch Light Procession
GRAND FINALE!! Leaving from the Sports pavilion to parade and light up the village accompanied by Castleton Silver Band finishing at The Shoulder of Mutton Adult Torches must be carried by over 21s Children’s sparkly lights will be available to buy on the night from 8pm for a small cost of £2 each. The Shoulder of Mutton: (after the Torchlight Procession) Gala Week Quiz with free supper. Everyone welcome Events during wakes week Saturday 31st July to Sunday 8th August Bradwell Methodist Church - Gala Teas 10am - 12noon - Tea/Coffee and cake 12noon - 2pm - Sandwiches, Toasties, tea/coffee cake 2pm - 4pm - Tea/Coffee and Cake.
