Live and Local’s promise to bring surprising shows to surprising places is still going strong. On Friday 10th May, Taddington Village Institute will be host to ‘The Daniel Smith Blues Band’.
The Band deliver an incredibly varied set of good-time, infectious music. Daniel, is 'a serious challenger to Jools Holland as the UK's number 1 boogie pianist' according to ‘Blues in Britain’ and orchestrates a showcase of British blues. Instrumentally, individually, there are few better than each of the band members in the UK. You can expect a dynamic, awe-inspiring and warm show of brilliant blues and boogie-woogie which is mature, sensitive and funny. Daniel guides his audiences through the great music and narratives of some of the great tunes across a variety of blues genres. The solo musicianship is simply jaw-dropping. We are looking forward to a truly class act!
There will be a bar; tea, coffee and biscuits will be served in the interval.
