50 YEARS A LION!!

Bill Howard recently received his 50 year chevron (badge) along with a certificate signed by the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Bill started out by being a founder member of Deal Lions in June 1975. On leaving Deal he has travelled north and been a member of 4 other Lions Clubs before settling with Matlock Derwent Valley in 2000. He has travelled regularly from his home in Tideswell, regardless of the inclement winter or the tourists in the summer!!!!

He is a well respected member of Matlock and he – and his very tolerant wife Sandra – are always willing to help out; often having interesting suggestions of where a tasty meal can be found!
