
Are you ready to shake off the post-Christmas winter blues? Then come along to the UkeWirks musical evening! Be prepared to sing along, tap your feet, sway and get up and dance to familiar songs performed in the unique UkeWirks style, as we raise funds for the Wirksworth-based charity, Aquabox.

Saturday 8 February 2025, 7.30 – 10pm (doors open at 7pm)
Where is it?
The Maltings, China House Yard, St Mary’s Gate, Wirksworth, Derbyshire DE4 4DQ. (The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users)
The entrance fee is £10 per ticket. Tickets are available from Ticket Source (https:// www.ticketsource. co.uk/ukewirks (no booking fee!) and from Marsden’s Gift Shop, 7 Market Place, Wirksworth, DE4 4ET.
What do I bring?
Your own drinks and a picnic or nibbles – feel free to bring along your favourite beverages and food or nibbles, to share and enjoy. Glasses, plates, and cutlery will be provided by the venue.
UkeWirks are a philanthropic, enthusiastic, local, amateur band featuring ukulele, cello, bass, banjolele, violin, whistle, cajon and beautiful vocal harmonies. Instrumentalists and singers receive no fees for their performances – all money raised goes to local charities.
Get ready for a fun-filled night, packed with live performances of well-known songs and a few surprises. You will sing along and dance in an atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of community and generosity towards a good cause.
For this event, UkeWirks is proud to support Aquabox, a local charity committed to delivering life-saving clean water solutions to communities hit by natural disaster or conflict. Recent activities have included providing aid consignments to Ukraine and Lebanon. In 2024, Aquabox delivered aid that will provide 2.2 billion litres of clean water and will support 116,000 people globally. By attending this event, you will directly contribute to their mission, helping to transform lives and creating a brighter future for many.
