BAKEWELL AFTERNOON TEA FOR BREAST CANCER NOW

ree

Bakewell residents Vicky Hewitt-Smith and Irene Howsley will host an Afternoon Tea for Breast Cancer Now at Rivermead, The Park, Bakewell on Saturday 23rd and Monday 25th August from 12.00pm to 3.00pm.

Following the success of this event in 2023 and 2024, the Afternoon Tea has evolved into a heartwarming community occasion made possible by

• Support from over 100 local independent businesses who generously donated to our raffle

• Public donations to our extensive tombola prizes

• A team of volunteers and bakers

• The sale of teas, coffee and delicious home baked scones and cakes on the day.

In 2023 and 2024 a combined total of £5,100 was raised.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, affecting over 55,000 women and 400 men annually. This year we are supporting a great initiative that is run by the Breast Clinic, Chesterfield Royal Hospital and we are asking ladies to donate preloved and new bras that can be re-distributed for wear to girls and ladies in need.

We also invite Bakewell businesses and residents to support our cause with a raffle or tombola donation, or by volunteering as bakers, photographers, or helpers on the day.

Come and join us for tea and cake on the day – everyone welcome.

If you can help, please contact Vicky on: 07923 684411 or Irene on: 07933 991800 or through the Bakewell Afternoon Tea for Breast Cancer Now Facebook page.
