Infant School visitors to the Friday Group

The Bakewell and District Friday Group meet every Friday during term time. It is a member’s club for socially isolated elderly folk from Bakewell and nearby. We are a friendly bunch who come in for tea and games followed by a two course lunch. After this we organize speakers, quizzes, crafts, music and visitors to entertain until 2pm. If you know of anyone who might benefit from some company and fun then we would be pleased to hear from them. Bakewell and Eyam Community Transport can provide a lift to and from the group for a small fee but we also welcome folk who can make their own way here. Spaces are limited so do get in touch with Lesley on 01629 813752 if you know someone who would like to join or help out. We are always looking for volunteer helpers who can come weekly, monthly or whenever. It is a very local and inclusive team where social connections are made. The next programme includes speakers, quizzes, a magician and many other interesting afternoons. We also have outings twice a year with a Christmas meal coming up in December.
