Bakewell Infant's pupils visit Friday Group

It was great to see local social crossover at the Bakewell and District Friday Group when they were visited by pupils from the Bakewell C of E Infant's School. The oldest in the group (over 95) and the youngest (6) shared a session of card making followed by a lovely singsong from the children.

“It was great to see the generations mixing” said Friday Group leader, Lesley Simpson. We are still looking for volunteers who would like to offer a few hours for one day a month to help the established volunteers. Also, if you know of someone who is socially isolated and lonely, get in touch to see if they can come along every Friday during term time to the group. For queries please call Lesley on 01629 813752.
