It was a unique day in the DSSA Schools' Golf Championships, held at Chevin on Monday, 28th April.
The event was the first time in its 47 year history where a brother/sister pair have won both major titles.
Jamie, in Year 8 from Lady Manners, and the County Under 14s Captain, was out early and scored a superb gross 73, which wasn't beaten all day. His sister, Evie, was out last in the heat of the afternoon, and yet still produced a superb nett 64 to win the Championships and lead the qualifiers for the Matchplay later in the year. Evie is quite a prodigy and is still in primary school, attending Bakewell Methodist Academy. Jamie will go on to represent Lady Manners and Derbyshire in the Midlands Schools Championships and the National Schools U16s Championships.
