Derbyshire Open Arts is an annual event that promotes the work of artists and makers across the county. Next year will be the 20th anniversary of the event which has grown into Derbyshire’s largest open studio event and will take place over the Spring Bank holiday weekend, Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th May 2026.
There are many benefits to artists of being part of Derbyshire Open Arts including:
• promotion of your work and venue via social media platforms, newspapers and magazines
• an entry, with an image of your artwork, goes into the thousands of brochures distributed around Derbyshire along with hundreds of posters, signs, banners and window stickers
• further information about artists and their work plus more images of their artwork go on the Derbyshire Open Arts website for a year
• the website is also interactive and allows visitors the opportunity to plan their own tailor-made trail for visiting venues. The brochure is also downloadable from the site
• Applications for next year’s Derbyshire Open Arts are open until 12th January 2026. If you are an artist but do not have a venue, Derbyshire Open Arts may be able to help you find one.
You don’t have to live in Derbyshire to take part, but your venue must be in the county.
