S. Anselm’s School in Bakewell has announced the launch of Little Puddings Nursery, which will open on 21st April 2026. This brand-new early years nursery promises an exceptional start for children from birth to five years, where curiosity blossoms, imaginations soar and every day is an adventure.
At Little Puddings, children will discover the perfect blend of care, creativity and outdoor exploration, with a dedicated Forest School, a heated swimming pool, an adventure playground and a spacious sports hall for endless fun and games - all situated on site. Every moment is guided by specialist early years teachers and professionals, passionate about nurturing confident, happy children.
Nestled within the school’s breathtaking Peak District grounds, the nursery features large, light-filled rooms designed to inspire independence and joy. Open from 8am to 6pm with wraparound care available, families can enjoy flexibility and peace of mind. Fresh, homemade meals are prepared each day by the school’s catering team – and there is plenty of convenient onsite parking for busy parents.
S. Anselm’s Chair of Trustees, Emma Harrison, commented: “The launch of Little Puddings marks an exciting new chapter for S. Anselm’s. We understand the realities of modern family life, and this nursery has been crafted to offer exceptional care, flexibility, facilities - and our trademark warmth and values.
“Our vision is to spark a lifelong love of learning where children feel safe, seen and endlessly inspired by the world around them. Every day at Little Puddings will be a celebration of discovery, creativity, and growth.”
Little Puddings offers flexible nursery options including full-day sessions (8am-6pm) and half-day sessions, with wraparound care available from 7.30am to 6.30pm. The nursery provides both 15 and 30 hours of government funding (on a stretched basis) and a 10% full-week attendance discount.
Emma concluded: “This is a truly joyful extension of everything S. Anselm’s stands for – a nurturing community where every child is celebrated. We can’t wait to open our doors in April, and with places filling fast, we encourage families to get in touch soon to book a visit!”
