The SNOWDOGS DISCOVER BUXTON art trail captivated the community of Buxton and beyond, raising a remarkable £60,124.11 for Blythe House Hospice. This magical event featured 12 stunning Snowdog sculptures displayed at key locations throughout Buxton during the winter season.
On Thursday, 19th December 2024, the trail culminated in an elegant auction at The Palace Hotel, Buxton, where the beloved Snowdogs found new homes. Enthusiastic bidders from near and far competed to secure these one-of-a-kind creations, contributing to an incredible fundraising achievement for Blythe House Hospice.
Blythe House Hospice provides vital care and support for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses across North Derbyshire. The funds raised through this initiative will directly support the hospice’s mission to offer compassionate care during life’s most challenging moments.
Rebecca Gregory, Fundraising Manager at Blythe House Hospice, shared her gratitude:

We are so thankful to everyone who participated — local residents, businesses, and visitors from across the UK—for helping make this event such a success. Over 40,000 people engaged with the Snowdog trail, and it has significantly increased awareness of our work. Thanks to Wild In Art, this initiative will go down in history as a milestone event for Blythe House Hospice, allowing us to extend our care to even more individuals in need.”
The trail brought festive magic to Buxton, creating unforgettable memories for thousands during the lead-up to Christmas.
