VISIT A WALL OF FLOWERS! NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME IN STANTON IN PEAK SATURDAY 26 AND SUNDAY 27 JULY

ree

There are two gardens for you to visit in Stanton in Peak on the weekend of 26/27 July.

At 2 Haddon View you can walk up through a wall of flowers to see the pond with huge red lilies, and on to the hot, herbaceous border. There are two other wildlife ponds, and a koi pond at the top of the garden next to the cosy summerhouse. It really is a garden for plant enthusiasts where you will see a great variety of unexpected things!

Tea, coffee and homemade cakes are available and there are patios throughout the garden where you can sit and enjoy your cakes.

Just down the road Woodend Cottage is open as well. Here you can see a unique roadside garden with charming stone follies, including a tiny stone cabin with a fireplace! All surrounded by a wealth of plants. In the main garden you can see skilful paving and other stonework, and enjoy draft real ale from a local brewery.

All money raised goes to the National Garden Scheme which funds Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and other vital nursing and care charities.

The gardens are open 12.30 to 4.30 each day and entry is £5 with entry free for children. Dogs on leads are welcome, but it would not be possible to get into the gardens with a wheelchair.
