The next Rotary Club of Bakewell Repair Café is being held at the Bakewell Methodist Church Hall on Saturday 29th November from 10am to 12.30pm (last jobs taken 12 noon). Our usual team of repairers will be on hand to try and save your items from the scrap heap using their brilliant repair skills. Items previously repaired successfully include vacumn cleaners, radios, stools, and our bicycle repairer is coming too.
We will also be holding a special Darning Workshop at the same time. You are invited to bring along your favourite garments which need mending and be taught specialist methods to repair your item. All you need to do is bring along some wool or thread that matches your fabric and you will be guided by Textiles Expert, Ann Esders from Heirs and Graces, who will teach you the sewing methods you need to do the work yourself. Places are limited so it is essential that you book on this workshop. Whilst we are not charging for this tuition, a donation to the Rotary Club of Bakewell will help us to keep the Repair Café going into the future. Help us to reduce, reuse and recycle.
To book please contact Margie on 01629 813638 or email margiestuckey@live.com
