BAMFORD CARNIVAL WEEK SATURDAY 12TH-SUNDAY 20TH JULY


Bamford Carnival started in the 1950s run as an annual event for all to enjoy. You are invited to join us for our 2025 Carnival we have something for everyone to enjoy.

We start with a bang on Saturday at 6pm with the blessing of the Well with Castleton Silver Band on the Village Green. All welcome the band continue their performance at The Anglers Rest followed by a carnival disco.

Sunday sees the family fun Day on the Bamford with Thornhill Recreation Ground (rec) 12-4pm. Free fun and games for all the family plus at 12:30 our Teddy Bear Parachute Jump, 1pm our annual Dog Show. 3pm go quakers with our Duck Race.

On Monday at 6pm give Tennis or Pickleball a go! at Bamford Lawn Tennis Club. You can run run on Wednesday in our Senior Fell Race at 7.30pm www.si entries.co.uk. Then carry the night on at The Anglers Rest for the Carnival Quiz from 8:30pm. On Thursday we hold our Junior Fell Race registration from 5:30pm.

On Saturday 10:30am to 4:30pm visit Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church with “A Prayers for Peace exhibition.” Plus, its BAMFEST the carnival music festival on the rec with children’s activities 2-6pm. Live music till 10:30pm. Finish the week on Sunday with the Village Treasure Hunt. To enter meet at Bamford Institute 10am and you can also browse Bamford’s History Society’s Exhibition.
