BIGGIN VILLAGE HALL ‘FOUR HANDS AND A HORN’ BY MUSIC GROUP MUMBO JUMBO

Biggin Village Hall will be staging a show called ‘Four Hands and a Horn’ by music group Mumbo Jumbo on 4th April at 7.30pm. This show is part of the Live & Local series of events promoted by the Village Hall Committee, bringing professional touring groups, theatre and musical, to village halls in rural communities.
Live & Local as a Rural Touring Scheme has been working with communities across the Midlands for over 30 years, helping them bring great quality professional entertainment to their local venues. Live & Local is funded by Arts Council England and in Derbyshire by District and Borough Councils, including Derbyshire Dales District Council. This subsidy ensures that community promoters can reduce their financial risk and bring high quality professional entertainment to their community at a lower cost.
Mumbo-Jumbo have evolved this new show especially for the unique and very lovely village hall environment. Touring with an excellent sound and lighting show (and engineer) to support the music and relaxed stage style, Mumbo-Jumbo are ideal for village hall audiences. With two fabulous piano players Richard Hughes and Phil Bond and led by Oliver Carpenter this eclectic singer/songwriting trio sit somewhere in the folk, blues, and acoustic areas of music and bring excellent rapport with audiences. Twice nominated in the British Blues Awards and commissioned to write the official song for VE Day 75, the trio write about everything from old soldiers to 19th Century cartoon characters, love, light and wealth of even more unusual subjects.
