WIRKSWORTH MEMORIAL BOWLING CLUB MILLERS GREEN, WIRKSWORTH, DE4 4BL

Crown green bowling is a relatively low cost sporting activity available to all age groups offering plenty of outdoor exercise, friendly competition and the opportunity to create new friendships along the way.

At Wirksworth we currently have teams playing in two Matlock leagues and two Belper and Mid Derbyshire leagues.

Every Monday evening from 6pm we have a club practice night which includes taster sessions for potential new members with tuition and coaching from existing club members. All that is required to take part is a pair of flat soled shoes, everything else can be provided by the club. Anyone wishing to take part in this opportunity will be made very welcome at our modern, well equipped clubhouse. If after having a few taster sessions you decide you would like to join the club you will be offered a 50% reduction on our normal membership fee, making it just £30 for the first year. We also hold social events during the year.

The new season ihas begun. The green opened on 1st of April and the first Monday evening session will be on the 7th April.
