THE FISHPOND CHOIR
On a sunny April morning over sixty singers joined The Fishpond Choir Come and Sing event at The Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale. It was an opportunity for singers, new and experienced, to come together to enjoy creating something beautiful. Two contemporary pieces were learnt from scratch and the result was fantastic. TWINNING DRAW THE BIG PRIZE
Angela Hadfield was the winner of the Darley Dale/Onzain Twinning’s Valentines’ Day Grand Draw and the prize of a mixed case of premium French wines. Angela’s lucky ticket was the first one drawn out of the pot by Darley Dale mayor, Councillor Jason Farmer at lunchtime in the Whitworth Café as onlookers enjoyed their Valentine’s Day lunches. The ladies of Darley Dale WI concluded a very interesting and enjoyable programme for 2025 when they met recently. President, Sue Lamb welcomed everyone to the meeting including visitor, Kath.
