BAKEWELL ROTARY SMALL GRANTS

The latest round of the Bakewell Rotary Club Small Grants scheme has seen two very local Bakewell groups see success with grants of £250 each. The Bakewell Youth Theatre were awarded a grant to support their upcoming season of 'Grease' which will be on at the Medway Centre in March. Supporting young people is a big part of how Rotary tries to work in the community and the group will be able to hire professional props to make their performances even better. After over 45 years the Youth Theatre has helped many young people to fulfil their theatrical dreams and build careers within and around the industry.

The Club also supported the International Day of Dance which is held annually in spaces all around Bakewell with a dazzling array of different dance groups and styles. They have been active in Bakewell for over twenty years and the Rotary grant will go towards hiring sound equipment to enhance the spectacle for the performers and audiences. Rotary Club of Bakewell will have another round of Small Grants up for grabs later in the year.
