Come and enjoy a heartwarming coffee morning fundraiser on 14th February from 10am-12noon at Hartington Village Hall, SK17 0AP where you will receive a warm welcome and delicious coffee/tea and cake plus the chance to win raffle prizes. All proceeds will support the Hartington & District Community First Responders to purchase vital equipment.
Community First Responders make the difference when minutes matter. They are volunteers who belong to local schemes. They attend 999 emergency calls in the community. In the East Midlands, Community First Responders are dispatched by the East Midlands Ambulance Service Emergency Operations Centre the same way as an ambulance. Because Community First Responders live in the community, they can often arrive at a scene much faster than an ambulance. If they arrive first on scene, Community First Responders can provide assessment and treatment for the patient before the arrival of an ambulance.
