Matlock Music Society concludes its very successful 2025/26 season with a concert on Friday 8th May given by Siqi Huang, the internationally acclaimed pianist. Having achieved the highest score in the Guangdong Provincial Entrance Examination for Piano, Siqi was accepted into the Shanghai Conservatory of Music for her undergraduate studies. On a sunny April morning over sixty singers joined The Fishpond Choir Come and Sing event at The Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale. Bamford Sheepdog Trials and Fell race will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May at Bamford Recreation Ground. Gates open at 9am and the fell race starts at 1pm. This historic, traditional event is always a brilliant day out and offers a great atmosphere for all the family. It is amazing to watch the dogs and handlers at work and watch the teamwork between man and dog that has been built up over years of training.
