DERBYSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST (WYE AND UPPER DERWENT GROUP)

Charlie's Place (Animal Sanctuary)

An illustrated talk by Claire Robinson

Monday 16th February

Charlie’s Place is a rescue, rehabilitation and caring centre for a wide variety of animals. It has around 100 residents at any one time. Many of the animals have been rescued from the egg and meat industries, and at the sanctuary, they are given a second chance at life.

Charlie’s Place rescues and rehabilitates many wild animals every year, from young hedgehogs to owls and badgers. They have a specialist wildlife hospital fully equipped to rehab many species and they work with other animal rescues to ensure that any animal who comes their way will receive the best care and facilities possible.

Claire will talk about how and why the centre was established and will illustrate her talk with the personal stories of many of the animals that have been through her care.

To be held in Darley Dale Methodist Church Hall, Dale Road North,Darley Dale DE42 FT.

The talk starts at 6pm – note this is an early start as this talk is aimed at children. Entrance for adults is £3, children £1.
