Yes, Christmas needed attention, and snow is distracting – but all that carbohydrate complexity and journey planning has passed (hopefully) and we’re on to the next event: Baslow’s February Pantomime, ‘Knight Fever’.
It is hoped you’ve already got your tickets to avoid disappointment (some nights do sell out). ‘Knight Fever’, written by TLC, on an Arthurian theme is full of infectious laughter, tales of quests, magic and medieval come-uppance. There’s even aspects of modern foreign languages, culinary tips, celestial music and examples of fine portraiture.
Online tickets only, typically Adult £8/ Children £5 for Thursday 5th, Friday 6th, Thursday 12th, Friday 13th at 7.30pm and two matinees at 2pm on Saturday 7th and Saturday 14th February – all at Baslow Village Hall with adjacent Derbyshire Dales car park. For intrepid would-be knights who fancy a meal at Camelot, for one night only at 7pm on Saturday 7 February, a ticket price of £16 includes an interval meal, served by the cast, of jacket potato and chilli (all dietary requirements catered for) followed by a mystery pud which is usually ice cream.
What do you predict regarding the Round Table, Excalibur and the Holy Grail to say nothing of the usual Baslow Pantomime ingredients; a baddie to boo, a somewhat deluded Dame, audience participation and a lobster? It’s one of the sanest, healthiest and happiest ways to spend one or more winter evenings! Buy your tickets now from www.ticketsource.co. uk/baslow-players Joust do it!
