OXFAM JAZZ BREAKFAST THE MEDWAY CENTRE

Sunday 23rd November, 10.30-12.30

ree

“Isn’t jazz played in seedy basements late at night?” Yes – but you can also immerse yourselves in the cool sounds of mellow jazz whilst enjoying an amazing breakfast at The Medway Centre in Bakewell!

The Jazz Breakfast is deservedly one of Oxfam’s most popular annual events.

Come with your family and friends to relax, chat and read the Sunday newspapers, which we provide, while enjoying a sumptuous buffet of cheeses, cold meats, eggs, smoked salmon, frittata, fresh fruit platters, artisan breads, croissants, home-made cakes, real coffee, fruit juice and much more.

The band, fomentum, comprises a group of excellent musicians, with Winster’s Steve Salfield on saxophone, Pete Moxley on piano, Graham Jones on double bass, Clive Loveday on drums and Robert Glendenning on vocals and percussion. All have backgrounds of many types of music, and fomentum plays a mix of jazz standards and jazzy interpretations of some great rock tunes. For more information go to steve@stevesalfield.com.

Sunday 23rd November, 10.30-12.30 Tickets are £15 for adults, £8 for students, under 5s free, from Maxwell’s Bookshop, Bakewell; or reserve them from Jude 01629 815469 or Daryl 01629 813209
