More than five hundred thousand people in the UK have Alzhiemer’s disease. It is the biggest killer in the country.
Matlock ukulele group, Strummers (MUGS) have chosen Alzheimer’s Research for their chosen charity fundraising.
Earlier this year the sister of one of the group’s musicians was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. A family tragedy, which made the band want to find something they could do to help her and possibly other people with this terrible incurable disease.
Mugs have decided to kickstart their fundraising by playing a concert at the Whitworth on 29th November. Tickets are priced at £7.50, and can be purchased at www.thewhitworth.org , in the Terrace Café and from the office at The Whitworth
A brilliant, fun night out with one of the most entertaining bands in the county whilst aiding MUGS to help fund Alzheimer’s Research ‘to find a cure’.
