LINE DANCING COMMUNITY THROWS SUPPORT BEHIND NEW REAL TIME COUNTRY EVENT

Chesterfield’s upcoming Country Daytime Disco Party has received a major boost with the news that Steel City Line Dancers – one of the region’s fastest-growing line dancing communities – will be part of the event.
The group, which has attracted more than 500 participants since launching last year, will be appearing at the daytime country celebration taking place at Real Time Live on Saturday 4th April from 3pm to 7pm.
Audience members will get the chance to see experienced line dancers in action, with members of the Steel City Line Dancers demonstrating some of the routines that have helped fuel the resurgence of interest in country dancing across the UK.
The organisation runs several weekly classes across Chesterfield and Sheffield, covering everything from absolute beginner sessions through to advanced routines. Classes regularly attract between 30 and 40 dancers each week, with hundreds of people having attended since the group was launched last summer.
During the afternoon event, the dancers will showcase a selection of beginner-friendly routines, giving people the chance either to watch the experts or join in themselves.
Neil Anderson of Dirty Stop Out’s, one of the organisers of the Country Daytime Disco Party, said the collaboration was a perfect fit.
“It’s fantastic to have Steel City Line Dancers involved in our very first country daytime disco,” he said. “They’ve built an incredible community in a very short time, and they bring real authenticity and energy to the event. People will be able to see some brilliant dancers in action and, if they want to, have a go themselves.”
The event promises an afternoon packed with country hits from artists such as Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson, alongside disco lighting and a lively daytime dancefloor atmosphere.
