Residents in the Hope Valley and Derbyshire Dales are invited to get into the festive spirit while supporting families affected by life-limiting illness this Christmas.
Blythe House Hospice is set to host a series of wreath making workshops in Bamford, Ashford-in-the-Water, and Matlock - with every penny raised helping local people receive expert end-of-life care at home.
Funds raised through the events will directly support hospice services including the Roaming Car. The team provides nursing support and reassurance for patients and families across North Derbyshire, often in the middle of the night, helping people stay comfortable at home and avoiding hospital admissions.
Every wreath made will help fund compassionate hospice care this Christmas. Only 28% of Blythe House Hospice’s running costs come from the NHS, so events like these play an important part in keeping care local and free for those who need it.
Wreath-making workshops will take place from 7 to 9pm on:
• Thursday 27th November at the Yorkshire Bridge Inn, Bamford
• Wednesday 3rd December at Ashford-in-the-Water Village Hall
• Wednesday 3rd December at Ostello Lounge, Matlock
For £40 per person, guests can enjoy a relaxed evening of creativity, with all materials, guidance, and festive nibbles included.
