Baslow Bowls Club are seeking new members for the 2026 season. They’re a friendly club and would love to welcome you if you feel like giving it a try.
Bowls is an intriguing game – it looks quite easy but in fact needs a great deal of skill to get it right every time. But the beauty of it is that anyone can play – young or old and anyone of any age or ability is welcome at the club.
It’s a great way of getting some gentle exercise whilst having fun and meeting new people. There is nothing more lovely than hearing the click of bowls on a beautiful sunny day surrounded by great company, although the weather cannot always be guaranteed! There are a team of experienced players to help you get started and free coaching if you want to hone your skills further.
Baslow Bowls Club are situated within the Baslow Sports Field complex with free parking right by the door so access is convenient and easy. It’s a low-cost sport as they have everything you need to get started apart from your trainers.
Whether you have played before or a complete novice, there is an open day where you can just turn up – Saturday, 11 April at 10:30am and two bookable taster sessions, Monday 13 April at 10:30am or Saturday 18 April at 2pm.
